Supporting Families, Children and Young People with Aspergers in the West Country

Aims and Objectives

The Rightway Education Group (TREG) aims to support Families, Children and Young People with Aspergers within the West Country. We aim to find the right way to support families and individuals and educate communities about Aspergers. We are based in South Gloucestershire, however local neighbouring counties are very welcome.

Our objectives are:

  • To support parents and carers who look after Aspergers children and young people.
  • To develop social skills/activity groups.
  • Work with other charities, professionals, and organisations to improve the quality of life for all concerned.
  • To offer support to siblings.
  • To raise awareness.
  • To expand TREG by encouraging other parents to set up support groups within their local area.

Latest News

During September – December 2008 TREG will be merging with the National Autistic Society South Gloucestershire. Kay Tily Branch officer South Glous is stepping down and Rachel Trueman will be preparing to take up the new role ready for the start of 2009. The only immediate change will be to the day time support group venue no longer being held at Hop Skip and Jump. More news to follow shortly.
